Hitachi Europe Ltd has identified that a limited number of the battery packs used on the the Hitachi Portable DVD Player - model PDV302 have exhibited signs of overheating whilst on charge. Tests have identified that this occurrence is due to a faulty component inside the battery. This component failure is limited to an early batch of batteries.
IF BOTH THE MODEL NUMBER AND SERIAL NUMBER ON YOUR MACHINE MATCH THE FOLLOWING, PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE YOUR PORTABLE DVD PLAYER AND CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
